I am trying to find if we can have CMS HA without DNS server.

If yes, How it works?

Thanks,

To the best of my knowledge, you can setup the CMS HA without DNS. you can have the CMS in HA seperated over the WAN hence the confirmation.

for ACD, the IP should be reachable & for HA (data sync etc.) primary CMS should be able to reach the HA CMS, you can do it over the IP entry in host table.

Can we set up cms ha on same network ?

I assume it has to be on different networks. Pls confirm.

they can be on the same network. I have one pair set up side by side and one IP address off from the other ie x.y.122.201 and x.y.122.202

The whole idea of having HA is to have redundancy for CMS itself & the network also. Since there is no limitation from CMS perspective, it is better to have it on seperate network but can work on same network too.
We had two sites & both had seperate CMS system. We got both the CMS systems configured with 2 ACD feel & got the second feel for remote sites. That works fine & doesn't limit.
