I am researching the intel dual core processor trying to find out if it will help dealing with large queries processed locally...now Intel says it will help if the application is multi-threaded....Can someone shed some light here...I doubt access is...but who knows.

The simple answer Harry is NOPE! I don't know about MS plans on multithreading for Access.

Harry,

I believe there are ways of tricking VB6 and VBA into multi-threading, but the general advice appears to be don't.

From what I remember reading the majority of the time you will spend a long time re-writing apps to multi-thread expecting a performance gain and actually end up with worse performance than you had before.
