Hi everyone. I've been away from Access for a bit, some I'm trying to get back up to speed. Anyway, I'm trying to determine how best to handle the function I'm trying to develop. I'm inclined to go down the path of a form/subform implementation, but I figured I'd bounce it off the group.

Here's what I'm trying to do. I'm developing a training database that needs to catalog all available training in the company and define which course/courses a specific job title has to take (thus, any employee with that job title would be required to take it). Additionally, I also need to be able to specify specific courses an individual needs to take if their job title doesn't require it (when growing staff, we often have them take classes for the next position). So I'm thinking of handling "Define Classes by Title" and "Define Classes by Employee" separately, but with the same solution.

For Classes by Title, I would have a form and subform, where my form would be linked to the Title, and the subform would be linked to courses. The user should be able to navigate on the main form to a specific title, and the subform should show all current classes available, and checkmarks next to those they are already selected. For Classes by Employees, I would use the same type of solution, but the main form would show the employee and the subform would show the class. Same usage as before.

Any thoughts on the best solution to handle (without a lot of backend VB Script?
