Is 021e module dead ?

Hi guys this is my first post.i bought avaya partner acs R6 system.which was not in use for about 1 year.i did power up
and find out 012e cards have not dial tone or power ( i did connect 34D to check all port )LED is on all module and processor.it has 5 slot
Start for far left.
308ec
012e
R6 processor with RAC card
012e
I did factory reset and start from scrach. problrm only with this 2 012e card.308ec and processor's port are good.
so question is both 012e cards dead ?

Did you verify the ACS is a R6? The 012E is only compatible at R5 or higher. Dial Feature 59 to display your current software version. If it is R6 then I'd have to say the 012E's are both dead. If it's lower than R5 you need to flash upgrade the ACS.

The 012E is compatible with your system. Looks like they're both dead, but try putting one of the 012E's in the far left slot and see what happens.

I did try both card far left but still nothing.i will look for another 012e on net.

i just notice on 34D phone one of extension #25 (012e far left) led is steady red. i try to pickup i'm getting busy tone.

Sounds like that port has a short circuit.

If you plug the telephone directly into x25 on the 012E module (bypassing all inhouse wiring), does the problem with the red light go away

No when i plug in 34D in #25 no power.

Hold the phone.....

3x8 processor... extensions 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17.
3x8EC .......... extenisons 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25.
012E ........... extensions 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 & 37.

If extension #25 is bad, check the last port on the 308EC.

All the ports on processor and 308ec working fine.but no power on both 012e ports.

If the 012E's status LED is green then any ports with no power are bad. If the ports are not needed, mark them as bad. Else, replace the module(s).
