Hey all,

I have a W2k RAS server on my network, and it keeps taking up all my DHCP licenses!

This is very irritating :p

Any ideas how to stop this - cant seem to find anything :|

Thanks in advance,

GB

Hi Greenback,

You can set the DHCP pool that RRAS uses in the Management console.
I'm sorry I cannot tell you where to find this exactly because I'm trying hard to get rid of RRAS (see my post in this forum).

To assign a static address pool for RRAS:
Open Routing and Remote Access.
Right click the server name and click Properties.
On the IP tab, click Static Address Pool, then click Add.
Here you can enter the starting IP address, ending IP address (or number of IP addresses).
Click OK.

Be sure to exclude these addresses on your DHCP server.

youre a star basspro - worked a treat!

sorry for late reply, havent been able to get on recently :(

thanks to Loekje as well for the prompt reply :D
