Irritating Standby Problem

video card: inno3d 64M
cd rom: sony 52x
hard disk: maxtor 30 something gigs
operating system: WIN XP
RAM: 256 MB pc 133 SDRAM
processor: celeron 1 point somethings
motherboard: ECS P4VXASD2

My Computer goes on standby no matter what program is running.

It goes on standby even if I turn auto-standby off in the power options

It goes on standby even if I do nothing.

It goes on standby in random intervals

Update the vga driver files.

however the problem is definitely in hardware since i even reinstalled my OS.

drivers are updated

Go into your bios and disable the power options there.

run SIGVERIF and see if you have unsigned drivers anywhere. The latest drivers aren't necessarily WHQL certified.
