I think I'm having IRQ Issues with my network card ..... This is the prob. , I installed my Linksys PCI Instant Wireless Card in my PC , the installation went good , no conflicts , I get a great signal from my Wireless Router , I try to surf the net , no response or real slow page loading .... I started playing around with it ... I disabled all my USB ports , surfs as fast as ever , re-enable , goes back to slow ..... I've tried moving the PCI cards around , same thing .... anybody ever run into this before , its driving me nuts , because I have a usb Printer and can't use it while surfing .... Thanks for any help

You say that you disabled your USB ports... Have you left them enabled and unhooked the devices? Is it devices or ports?

What IRQ is the Linksys using (a) when the USB is enabled, and (b) when the USB is disabled?

NIC cards, thanks to PnP, can move all over the place on the IRQ map but really, truly only work well when on IRQ 9, 10 or 11. Other IRQ's can be selected by the PnP system but functionality usual suffers, sometimes greatly.

What operating system are you using? I've seen a similar performance deterioration when using McAfee VirusScan with Windows XP.
If you have an IRQ conflict, try disabling COM 2 if it's unused and assign IRQ 3 to another PCI device.
