IRQ holder problems

I have just installed a SCSI PCI card in my machine, and it doesn't seem to be able to find it. I looked in the Device Manager - no sign of it - ran Install New Hardware - not picked up - even installed the drivers by hand ... still nothing. I ran System Information (in desperation!) and this came up under the Problem Devices section:

Device                        PnP Device ID      Error Code
IRQ Holder for PCI Steering   PCI\IRQHOLDER\61   22
IRQ Holder for PCI Steering   PCI\IRQHOLDER\62   22

Does anyone know what this means, and how I can sort it out?

Which OS are you running? What SCSI PCI Card are you using?

I'm running Windows ME, and the SCSI card is an Adaptec AVA-2902E host adapter.

There are some .pdf files on this site for installation tips. ie:bios options for bus mastering,irq assignments....
