Hi

I need to upgrade a client of ours to CCM Version 6, but they have about 100 IVR's on IQ Version 5.8 and need to know if the upgrade tool works or do I have to redo all of them manually?

Couple of things to consider ....

1st. The upgrade process from IQ to the Visual Workflow Mangager is very limited to what it will copy over, most likely you will be rekeying the majority of it
2nd. You can still run IQ 5.8 with CCM 6.0 , it works fine, though its being slowly phased out.

Pretty much a new install. Have stuck with IQ up to this point.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Damn, this sucks. It will take me ages to recreate all the IVR's for this client.

Another issue I have been having with CCM 6. In IQ 5.8 I created one hunt group on the Mitel with the IQ ports in them and reused that for all the tree's. With the new version it does not seem to want to do this and I can't create a new messaging port for each call flow because it uses a license each time. When I try to assign the same hunt group under the Call Flow in Yoursite Explorer it's not there, or the ports can't be seen.

Anything I'm missing?

I was under the impression there is no migration path between the two? As in you would need to purchase VWM from scratch.

I am in the middle of this process. If the customer is under software assurance the licences from the IQ apply to the VWM. If you contact Prairiefyre support they will let you enable both during conversion. A word of warning: I just found out that VWM requires 64bit and IQ was only supported on 32bit.
