ipv6 queries to dsn from aix 5.2

I have just noticed that my aix 5.2 ml7 box is making an enormous amount of AAAA queries to our dns.


our host files looks like this

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx mybox mybox.servers.example.com mybox.example.com

The queries I am seeing are for mybox AAAA records and mybox.example.com AAAA records.

That looks correct for ipv4 lookups. How about output from "echo $NSORDER" from the root user.

That variable isn't set. I only noticed it after installing ml7 and WebSphere 6 but we did them at the same time.
