iptables-restore

I am trying to restart iptables to save the rules that I want processed. I receive a message stating iptables-restore needs to be used it gives me a help menu for iptables-restore. I still cannot successfully save the iptable rules. It will not save the rules that I submitted. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem.

Why don't you write a script to add the rules you need?

That way, when you want to reload it after flushing the iptables rules, you just launch the script?

There are thousands of examples on the web if you google for it.
