Hello,

Can anyone explain to me what are IPSIs and port networks and what are their use?

Thanks!

The ipsi board is a ip server interface board , so essentially this board creates the signalling between the Communication manger server and the port network , without this board a port network is useless.

APSS (SME)
ACSS (SME)
ACIS (UC)

And with today's architecture those boards and chassis are probably becoming obsolete. You can do everything with the G450GW's.

An IPSI is the ip interface to integrate several types of hardware cabinets, some of which can support multiple port networks and duplication
for the IPSI interfaces. Many of these cabinets are supporting legacy Avaya hardware / Circuit-Packs that have been used with Avaya PBX's for
many years:
MCC - Multi Carrier Cabinet (up to 5 carriers in each cabinet and 1 or 2 port networks)
SCC - Single Carrier Cabinet (up to 4 cabinet/carriers in a stack)
CMC - Compact Modular Cabinet (up to 5 cabinets/carriers)
g650 - (up to 5 cabinets rack mounted)

A great teacher, does not provide answers, but methods to teach others "How and where to find the answers"
