Hi,

I am just setting up an IPset to make a secure connection between two remote sites via internet,
My routers are cisco 2821 with 12.3(8) T4 IOS.
There is no command "Crypto" is working on this IOS.

(1) is it better to change the IOS,
(2) Or to use another tunneling method (I am working on GRE or IPIP).

If you have an IP only feature set then Crypto would not be available. Need to see what version you are running to tell.

Example from show version:

"flash:c2800nm-advsecurityk9-mz.124-3.bin"

Hi:
i checked
flash:c2800nm-ipbase-mz.123-8.T4.bin
could you explain more how it can help.

Hi Joamon,
i got it,
should i change the IOS?

You have the IP Base without Crypto feature set there. You will need to upgrade to, at a minimum, IP Base. Image name is c2800nm-ipbasek9-mz.124-3b.bin and is downloadable from cisco.com

It needs CCO password in Cisco.
so i have to buy!
