IPOSE OVA - VMware VMXNET 3 NIC

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of how to replace the E1000 Network Adapters in VMWare with the VMXNET 3 Adapters?

When I remove the E1000's and add VMXNET 3's they don't show in the system.

Did it once for an Application server without a problem. But I would not do it for a server licenses will be bound to. I would not trust the consistency of the system ID.

Sorry I should have mentioned it was an Application Server. You did it with no modification? Reading around online made it seem that root login was necessary.

I didn't have to do something. But I replaced it before powering up the machine the first time.

upgrade the VMtools on the box and it should take care of that for you.
