Can you program the system using a 1416 set like you would an 18D after the initial setup?

yes you can program from the 1416. it's similar but not 100% similar. It's not done as quickly as an ACS

In my opinion, doing programing from the IP Manager is faster than the Phone.

Its a million time easier on a 1416 than an 18D. No need to remember key sequences to get into admin mode, no need for keyboard overlays.

Yes, Manager is even easier and accesses a lot more though they could improve much like not hiding the Admin Task List by default.

And web admin in 8.0 is very nice (menu order a bit weird but just need to know IP address and user name/password - nothing to install)

what is the ip address for a new system to get into the web admin
i can only get into the system status /ssa which is just a status portal and not an admin interface
