I am having trouble getting a IP office partner with embedded mail to answer with automated attendant. I set up the automated attendand and made my recordings. Do I need a short code to get the lines to answer or a special group created?

View / show Admin Tasks / Trunks / In the trunks window: highlight a trunk - click Advanced Setup / VMS Settings

Under VMS setting what do I sellect to turn on the lines to answer?

Click in the Schedule field. Your options are shown. The default is never. You can choose from: Always, Day, or Night

Is ther any thing else to check maybe in the automated attendant to allow these lines to answer?

VMS Settings/Schedule is where you turn it on. You need to choose one of the options - Always is the most commonly used - for each trunk on the system. Did you do this and test it?

I was having trouble saving my config. I was not given the proper password. Once its saved the lines pick up but now it goes to s voice mail box 10 instead of the automated attendant message. What else should I check?

Go to Trunks/Highlight a trunk (do not click on Adv Settings)
Underneath the "Installed Trunks" box is "Analogue Trunk Setup"
In that box, "Coverage Destination" is directing the line to a mailbox, instead of to AA. That should be set to NONE so AA will answer.

I check all that and the calls are still going to extention 10 voice mail box.Any thing ELSE?

I would go through all settings on all lines and make sure it is programmed correctly. Check the VMS Settings and the Trunk Coverage settings for each line. You can also reset the system and/or resend the config.
