HI Hope someone can help me, i have an IPOffice V8.0 with Gamma IDC SIP Trunks, i am unable to get outbound calls, and inbound has only 1 way speech.

Gamma sent me the only doc they have which is for V6.1 and that doesnt work, i even have a document from an engineer that programmed them once a while ago.

Gamma are saying its down to the manufacturere and our Disti is saying its down to Gamma.

Does anyone know someone or how to program Gamma SIP Trunks without using a Stun Server as Gamma have said not to use one.

I know that the sip trunks are working and my Draytek 2830Vn is working fine as i programmed the SIP trunks on to a FortiVoice and no problems i can make and receive calls ok. it looks like the IPOffice is sending out the WAN2 address and not the fixed IP from the ISP

thanks for oyur help

How would the system send an address it knows nothing about? What router does it pass through? If the Draytek turn SIP ALG off (in telnet) and strict security firewall off (if it's there) :)

Thanks for the speedy response, in the header of the sip trace gamma performed it was showing the to address as the phone number dialled @ the IPOffice wan2 address not the public address. On the other phone system (talkswitch/fortivoice)I programmed it works fine so it can't be the router. I had spoke to Draytek and The ALG is off.

then you need a STUN server.

Ignore Gamma when they say you dont need to use STUN, you do otherwise you end up with all sort of weird issues with speech more often than not.

Indeed, if they need to see the packets coming from the external address and the system has no knowledge of that address it can't do it, unless you use STUN which lets the system know what the sites external address is etc :)
