IPOffice R8(43) with SIP Trunks. Incoming calls directed to AA. No extension or Dial by name entry get recognized.

I have it set for RFC2833 but tried all three.

I have had issues with embedded vm and DTMF detection using SIP, but in my case it was detecting 2 digits for every 1 dialled, so for calling extn 236 calls would actually go to 233 as it detected 3 twice, upgrading doesn't help. So for that site we have to avoid extns with the same digits, so no 211 or 222 or 233 etc etc. Seems embedded is pants with SIP (sometimes) :)

Have have ticked the "Dial By Number" at the AA setting?

Do you use G.729 as codec? this is documented as something that can happen on SIP trunks with this codec.
If you can then change to G.711

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I changed it to G.711 but no change.. and yes Dial by name is checked as well.

Figured it out..

In Embedded voicemail, i had Direct Dial-by-number checked, but didn't had KEY 2 (under actions) set to Dial by number. Apparently in embedded vm its mandatory.

it works fine now.. thanks for all of your help.

cheers,
