IPOffice - iPhoneManager voice quality issues

Hi,

We have about 50 iPhoneManager softphones installed on the LAN. We are having mainly volume control issues. The speaker and mic volume sliders within the iPhoneManager app don't seem to have any volume control. We are using Plantronic and GN Netcom usb type headsets. Windows has some control but you must crank it to the top for a decent call volume and it doesn't seem to stay consistent from call to call. The app itself seems to be very quirky, we have the same PC deployed for all users and for some it works fair and others poor.

I myself use both the Softphone version 6 for Communications Manager and the Phonemanager for IPOffice and the CM version seems much more solid.

Any pointers or comments would be great...

Sorry to be smart, but you will chase your tail with this one for years to come trust me !! The client will never be happy.

Swap the iPhoneManager's out for IP Hardphones or Digital Phones. AVAYA say ahh no problems but I am yet to be convinced, think of the iPhoneManager as a remote tool only.

I put the call out to anybody to prove me wrong, that is have a iPhoneManager site with 50+ IP Softphones working in a LAN enviroment. !

You are echoing my exact thoughts, just wanted to see if anyone else was crazy enough to sell this scenario. Big mistake from the beginning. iPhoneManager is acceptable as a remote ip phone only.
