hi,guys
I Have a IPoffice 406V2, it is possible to connect it with H323 IP telephone firmware?
I need that kind of license? or Module ?

Thank you,
Fernando

46xx and 56xx Avaya IP phones were supported on 406v2 until R3.2
With R4.0 Avaya only supported new style 46xx Phones, and 56xx, however I did have one site on R5 that still had a 4624 IP phone in their stockroom without issues.
On R4.2 and up 1608, and 1616 IP Phones ( first series ) are supported, 1603 on R5+
All the above Avaya IP Phones only interact via H323 on IP office.
You do not need licences to use Avaya IP phones, unless You are on R6+

As for H323 trunks, back in the Day there was AGN buisness class VOIP, they did a great job with H323 service, and support for IP Office. They are no longer in buisness.
I beleive LES.net still supports H323 trunks.
If memory serves Me right SIP licences consumed for H323 trunks, so Yes, you will need SIp turnk licence. It's been a while since I have delt with H323 trunks, so I could be wrong.

You can only buy 16xx or 96xx Ip phones so this is what you need:
IP Office on rel 6 :
229420 runtime license ( end of sale since intro Rel 8.0)
229444 IP Phone license ( per seat )
IPO VCM 4 card ( end of sale since 9 Nov 2009 )

I think if you really need a IP Phone you best upgrade to a IP500V2 with a single combo card.

A simple mind delivers great solutions

Hi,
Is possible to use a softphone (one-X)?

thanks,

Yes ,but then again you need to get an IP500V2.
Your PBX is old and can hardly being expanded the way you want.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Someone please make me understand the question correctly, and some answers.

My understanding of the question is that the poster wants to establish whether or not he can use IP Phones with IPO406v2.
To that I say the answer is YES - as long as there is a VCM card installed on the control unit.
To his second question, I say no licences are required at all.

Now I seem not to understand @AndrePa's answers:
46xx and 56xx Avaya IP phones were supported on 406v2 until R3.2
With R4.0 Avaya only supported new style 46xx Phones, and 56xx, however I did have one site on R5 that still had a 4624 IP phone in their stockroom without issues.

I have a few (3) units of IP0406v2 running R5 with a few 46xx and 16xx IP Phones.

What am I failing to understand in all the answers given to the OP?
