I am having issues with two things:

1) I completed the Configuration Worksheet for my IPOCC config. I ran the Data Import tool at the end of this worksheet and it completed successfully. I then copied the DataImport.exe and .csv files to the IPOCC server. When I ran the file on the IPOCC server it failed and I received a message stating to "roll back the database". Has anyone had the same result?

2) After installing the IPOCC software and before running the dataimport.exe, I backed up the database files per the documentation. I verified the database files were where they were supposed to be. When I tried to restore the database to its original state using the documentation from Avaya I see my backed up files and I can select them, but the restore button is not active. Has anyone tried to backup their IPOCC database and/or tried to restore an IPOCC database?

Thanks in advance!

It's oh so quit...
I guess you are the first one this year installing IPOCC, I haven't done it in three years, just because of the problems as you have today.....
And when it finally runs... the customer will call you telling there is something wrong with the reports, oh yeah, customer is right and you are the fool to fix it.
Avaya can't as it is not their product...

Yes and no.
I have been involved when it was in development and the database part was build by a thirth party company which has gone bankrupted, so Avaya has no one to fall back on for that part. And that company did a poor job, it is chaotic written, no comments in the source code and full of bugs/mistakes.
The calculation of call timers by example is wrong because they ware too lazy or totally uneducated on mathematics.

Okay... Didn't know that. I assume they outsourced that database part when they switched fromBCC to CIE several years ago. Heard that Tenovis had to publish the code to Indian programmers when AVAYA bought them but the Indians gave up...

And these are smart guys if it comes to software....

Damn, we are having the exact same issue here on an installation here in SA.

Same import issue and the database fails during installation of the software.

What F up.

And the joke is that Avaya won't support us unless we pay for it. But the system is failing on installation. Been sitting on site for 8 days can't get the thing running.

That's the way Avaya have rolled for a number of years now, no support out the box unless you pay, not even sure it's legal in many places :)

Within data issues AVAYA told me about 90 days for software support. In Germany the laws give us one year of hardware warranty but only 90 days for software. I'm not sure if these 90 days are only a German thing...

Maybe in SA they have told us we must but the IPOS support but they have actually gotten back to us once in 8 days.

and they said oh it should work we will download and install and let you know.

BTW... Wasn't it obligatory to buy IPOSS if you install IPOCC? Or was it only for Select?

Yes it is. But not much support
