IPO500V2 programming

Hey everyone,
Running into an issue that I have never seen before. Just bought a brand new IPO500V2 running version 8.1(43) I have the IPO R8+ ESSNTL EDITION+ LIC installed (did this via web programming). I cant seem to use my ipoffice r8 manager software to connect and program. The only way I can get into the switch is to use web programming. In my manager porgram the system is discovered but it shows as greyed out and will not let me connect to it. i even tried to connect by IP directly and that wont work it asks for user and pass but just never connects

Anyone seen this before?

FYI my manager software says version 10.0 (44) on the splash screen when it loads

You need a 8.1 manager to connect to an 8.1 system an not the 8.0.44 manager.

Thanks thats what I was afraid of.

Now the issue is I cant download the newest admin CD. Avaya sso is complaining about entitlements for my login. The error is Telling me I need a sold to number but I was never given a sold to number. Any idea who issues those. Sucks i cant just put in my system serial number or some other identifier to get the software.

Looks like this isnt going to get done this weekend. Thanks for all your assistance.

Where did you buy this IPO?
They should be able to provide you the right software too.

Purchased from "The Telecom Spot" they are not in today(m-f 9-5) I will call monday i'm sure they can supply the software. I have bought numerous systems from them. Just wanted to get this programmed and deployed this weekend. shame on me for waiting till the last minute. haha

You could install 8.0 software if you have that and fully program the IPO including license then you only have to upgrade on monday.

i thought manager 10 was supposed to connect to anything as old as 3.2?

His IPO rev is higher than his manager. He needs 10.1.xx for an 8.1.xx system. Just order the DVDs if you can't download it. Typically they sell for 9-1 bucks. Best to have a set.

Manager 10 is backward compatible to IP Office 2.1

Manager 10.0 will not connect to IPO 8.1. But it will connect to everything below that.
