Looking for the way to set up the automated attendant so a caller just has to dial the desired extension, not a prefix digit first. Any help?

Answer was in the Post title :)

Are you saying the imbedded voice mail has a more flexible automated attendant than Voice Mail Pro?

No, VM Pro can do it, just using a menu to collect digits and a transfer with $key as transfer destination, if the extn's overlap an option off the attendant you need to get clever with the timeout option in a second menu, something you can't do with embedded :)

We tried this and the system still requires the caller to enter a single digit and then the extension number of the party they want to speak with.

This is easy.

Build a menu and add a 2?? (example with 200 range)
Also add a time out in case they do not enter the right number.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Peter is correct unless it is imbedded.. Then you need to check
Direct dial by number off the AA.

Yes I figured he must have embedded since the request is 101 for vmpro.
