Hey guys,

I'm messing around with an IP 500 R5.0 and a TrixBox 2.8 to get them to talk to each other. I have been successful in setting up a SIP trunk on the IP Office to connect to the Asterisks box as an Extension, but now i am trying to do it the other way around and running into a few issues.

What I have done the works.

-I setup a SIP extension ext:401 on the Asterisks box.
-On the IP Office, Setup a SIP Trunk to connect the Asterisks Box with user name 401.
-Setup a Short Code on the IP Office to use a separate ARS to dial to the IP of the Asterisks Box with 8N.
-Setup an incoming Route on the IPO to forward calls from the Asterisks Box URI to an Extension.

On the Asterisks Box, when I Dial Extension 401, the call works and it rings the extension defined in the incoming call route.

On the IP Office, if i dial 8 followed by the extension (ex. 402) I can call an extension on the Asterisks Box.

So the IPO can call any extension it wants on the Asterisks Box, but the Asterisks box can only call what the incoming call route defines.

So I want it to work the other way around as well. What I did was get a SIP Endpoint license on the IPO and I am trying to setup a similar setup to above but just the other way around. To have the Asterisk Box SIP trunk connect a SIP extension on the IP Office.

Has anyone ever setup a SIP Endpoint Extension on an IP Office in R5.0 and is there anything specific i need to know when I am configuring my trunk on the Asterisk Box?

My Asterisks Trunk Config is below: (My Sip extension on the IPO is ext 400)

Trunk Name: IPO

PEER Details

host=192.168.0.40
username=400
secret=1234
type=peer

USER Context from-pstn

secret=1234
type=user
context=from-trunk

Registration String:
400:1234@192.168.0.40

Here you have 1 doc for linking two IPO together and 1 for a Cisco CM.

Cisco;

IPO;

But i think if you goto Line > SIP Line > SIP URI > and select "Use User data".
When you've selected "Use User data" then you get a new SIP tab on the Users fill in the right info you need.
