Hi All,

Im installing a SIP trunk to a service provider here in KSA.

Service provider has provided with 2 ip addresses.
Near end XX.xx.xx.xx
Provider end xx.xx.xx.xx
Subnet mask: xx.xx.xx.xx
and a sIP Server Address ip: xx.xx.xx.xx

im able to ping the provider end, i have connected the SIP trunk to WAN port.
im even able to ping the SIP Server ip address, using the router as Provider end, as SIP server is on some other subnet.

Im not able to dial outside, even though my SIP trunk shows in service and Idle.

the system tries to make a call for 4 sec silence and disconnects with nothing.

Gunnaro,

A silly question.

we have 100 DID's how do i enable those DID?

its showing same number on all extension.

thanks,

To show your DDI you have to put it in the User, in the SIP tab.

Like this: (Number here should be your 7 digits, probably)

Here is an example of a working SIP Trunk on a Softx3000:
(no guarantee that it is the same for STC)

ARS:SIP
N;/N"@SIP.PROV.IP.ADR"/Dial/LineGrpID

If this doesn't work, just play with the settings.
Remember to make incoming call routes too.

Kind regards

Gunnar

like i said in my previous post.
All internal in sip uri, use the tab sip in user for outgoing and incoming cli i.e the 7 digit number.

Thanks alot for your Help Gunnaro.,... it really worked!

i didnt changed the ARS, its still there.

but in users tab i have changed the SIP name field!

Thanks a million for your help and all others as well!!!

Cheers!

Good!
And the solution was mentioned earlier (maybe not so clear at that point...[smile])

If you find a thread helpful you could always hand out a star to those who contribute:)

Gunnaro,

a quick small issue...
STC is sending me incoming numbers in 2 ways,

some times with area code that is 013 and some times without area code, 804 xxxx
i have made ICR both ways,, so i have 200 entries for 100 users.. but whenever the call comes in with prefix 013 804xxxx
it says not found, and i know its due to the SIP contact that we have defined in the users...

do we have a way to let both working?
i hope you got my point?

thanks in advance.

BR.

You built 200 ICR? That's 199 too many if your DDI's are in a range [smile]

ICR could be made like this for DDI's:

In Standard tab:
Line Group ID: Your Sip Trunk
Incoming Number: 013804XXXX (number of X's must match your Extn length)

In Destination tab:
Default value: #

"#" matches all X wildcards in the Incoming Number field and it reads from right to left, so it should find the Extn just fine.
If you have a "-" in front of the Incoming Number (-013804XXXX), then it will not match against 7 digit number.

(User SIP should not have anything to say in the ICR.)

If this doesn't work, try changing this on the SIP line
Call Routing for incoming number from the "To Header" or the "Request URI".

(there is a lot more info on this topic in the Help files and KB)

Kind regards

Gunnar

tried everything,

i have 2 ICR's

one with 013804XXXX and the other with 804XXXX destination tab for both is #

when call is coming without prefix its able to find the user, and call lands in properly.
when call comes with prefix 013804XXXX it says not found,

the User sip tab when i change to 0138041994 i get call but then call without prefix 8041994 which comes is giving not found error.

i have checked the call routing method as well nothing is changing its the same...

any advise please!
