Is it possible to have a incoming call route go to an announcement and then have the caller ID captured, then sent to an iphone as a text message?

never tried it but I would guess it would be possible with vmpro and simply sending email to sms server with caller id in body

i actually have this at a few sites

setup vmail to email

then simply google the carrier address here are some that we use:

Provider Format
Sprint phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com
Verizon phonenumber@vtext.com
T-Mobile phonenumber@tmomail.net
AT&T phonenumber@txt.att.net
AIM +1phonenumber

they obviously do not recieve the wav file but it gives the caller id, date, & time

Some GSM gateway's allow for access to their SMS services via serial. A small amount of VB script from VM Pro might sort you out.
