Is anyone having any issues with Paging on the IP Office Partner Edition. I have the IP Office , UPAM and Amp set up. When I have it in IPO SD card mode it works. The second I go to Partner SD it does not. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
D
Yes but still nothing is working. Again, this only happens when I have the Partner SD card in play. If I remove it and go to IPO SD card everything on the paging end works.
There are 6 analog ports on the combo card. Ports 7,8 are analog ext ports; ports 9-12 are for analog trunks. Have you verified which port you are using and that you have that ext programmed for loudspeaker paging? (For ex: have you verified that the port is Ext 15 and that Ext 15 is programmed) Have you verified that the port works by plugging a phone into it?
Set the analog extension port on a combo card to loudspeaker paging and boot.
Plug a analog phone into port and go offhook. You should hear no intercom tone but you should hear battery so you can blow into the handset and hear it.
Dial Intercom 70 from a system phone and you wil hear beep beep. The systme phone user should be able to blow into the handset and be heard from the offhook handset in the paging port.
Thanks everyone, I just confirmed with Avaya that this an issue. Testing with a handset always works but it doesnt when you add the full paging element into the mix. Some older versions of UPAM and Page Pac work when you use an ETR card but there is currently nothing confirmed to work outside of that. Combo cards are not an option currently.
I'll keep you posted to what else comes of this but it's at the Tier 4 level now.
Avaya confirmed with me that it is a known issue. This is what I was told:
It's the UPAM that's causing issues, not the PARTNER Version. Some amps can be directly connected w/o UPAM. Seems they work great (if they can be connected in this fashion).
