A really cool feature I liked on the MultiVantage is now available on IPO. Its a timed drop. After x minutes, the call will drop. Although it would be nice to have it warn you ahead of time (like MultiVantage), I'll take what I can get. We use it for courtesy phones.

However, that appears to occurr on a specific short code. What I want is a specific phone. I've tried everything on the user's shortcode form that I can think of.

If anyone's got any ideas, please throw them out there.

TIA,

Kris G.

dupliucate the system short code to dial out in the user short code section

ie short code ?
telephone number .t(10) t(10) sets cut off for 10 min.
feature dial

- this feature has actualy been availible since V1.4

Wow, I hadn't noticed the timed drop existed that early. Thats good to know. Now, I'm using Secondary DT with LCR (finally working, yeah!!!), so would I just program the short codes 9 (PSTN) and 8 (Local) and set them to dial .t(10)?

Thx,

Kris

If you are using LCR this would override the users shortcodes :-(

If you set the user shortcodes to DialEmergency it may still work

What would you recommend as the short code?

My thought was Code N/Dialed .t(5) for 5 minutes.

Thoughts...

Kris

Unfortunately, the code above makes the phone drop the call. We're using LCR, so it's following the line group in the user short code. I also tried the other shortcode (further up on the posting), and that didn't work either.

Bummer. I have to believe there's a way. There certainly is a will... :)
