Hi!
Wondering if there is a way to re-use an old backup from a crashed ipo app server on a new installed one?

Have anyone done this?

Even if the new ipo/app server will have the same settings, name and IP i suppose the ID still will be different because of mac address.

Maybe making a backup of the new server and check the files on the backup server - renaming the backup files from the old server to match new is possible but would it work?

if you can access the hard disk then you should be able to extract the MDB file for the VM & any custom recordings, beyond that you are verry much on your own

I did this on a R9.1 ages ago and the licenses still worked... used it in the lab for a bit. Didnt test VM though, it was a primary and I was just interested in applying the IPO config.
