Hello,
Customer has IP Office Essential (8.1.(63)) with 6 POTS lines and they requested the line appearances on all phones(1416's). If one user is on an outside line, a second user can press the line button and engage the call. They are requesting that this be turned off to avoid interruptions. I scoured the help files and all I can find as a possible resolution is "Cannot be Intruded", but I'm not convinced that is the solution. I will be on site this week to try, but wanted any insight before I go. Thanks in advance.

Look for "Private Call" in button programming.
Or, just don't provide line appearances. This is not a key system. It should not be programmed as such.

+1 Don't use line appearances

correctly program the system with a hunt group & incoming call routes, ad a pickup button so that they can pickup a call ringing at a different Extn if req.

it may take a little effort to drag your customer into the 20th century but they will (eventually) appreciate it.

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

I'm well aware of all this, but I didn't originally program the system and since it was already set up that way, I'm just trying to get a solution for them.
