Hello,

We have a Avaya IP Office from one office connecting to a FreePBX in other office (using internal VPN), and we can make calls from FreePBX to the IPO without any problems and everything works fine. The problem is in the IPO side, the users can not make a call directly from the phone, but if they go to the history of the Avaya phone, and dial the extension that did call them then it works.
Our enviroment is like this:
Asterisk extensions: 7XXX
IPO extensions: 8XXX

We have 2 SIP trunks licenses in IPO, and the Short Code is as follow
Code: 7N;
Feature: Dial
Telegone Number: 7N@AsteriskIP"
LineGroup: 7000

Please let me know what I am missing, in order for them to call directly the Asterisk Extensions without needing to go to history.

Use Monitor to compare two calls - one made using history and another made dialing manually. It should tell the tale.

one thing I forgot to say, we have one SIP extension in Avaya too, from there I can call easily to our Asterisk, but from Avaya phones, does not work apart from going to the history.

You are not dialing enblock.
This is why the SIP phone does work which dials enblock.
Use a ; in your shortcodes.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

in all shortcodes? the SIP one already has ; in it Code: 7N;

thank you

Make a monitor trace and see if all digits are send and if not why they are not.
Or post the trace here.

the avaya configuration was done by an IT guy that is no longer with us, and I have notice that in the MAIN shortcode, it has:

code:?
Feature: Dial
Telephone Numer .
Line Gorup ID: 50 Main

could be that making the problem?

Could be if that is the line group id to the Asterisk.

different group, I will keep troubleshooting, as I dont have anyone there at the moment to test with me. thank you for all the tips.

I just had a better look and you have 7N; to line group id 7000.
This is correct i think.
Try changing it to:
7XXX
dial
7N"@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of the Asterisk)
