Hey,

I have an IPO500 v1 running 8.0(43) and VMPro running 8.0 (1001). Everything was fine until yesterday when I used Manager v10.1.57 to pull a config and add a new DID to a line. I can not not get into the AA, *17 hangs, shows connected on phone but no sound.

Calls from outside just get dead air but connect to VMPro.

I tried a few things, such as rebooting the IPO from both software and pulling the plug, restarting the VMPro Service, uninstalling and reinstalling VMPro, and finally stopping the VMPro service and installing on a different machine to see if that worked. So far, no good on all fronts. I have checked that the VMPro license is still there which it is.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Ed

take the systems off the network to rule out a network issue like a duplicate IP address

(or ping it and check the arp table if the MAC address matches if you like)

The network is fine. Nothing duplicated.

In playing w/ the system, I took a digital phone and did *17 and it worked! So now, SIP calls coming in don't get the AA and the IP 1616 doesn't get to VM. However, I used the short code of *17 and one I created to get into the AA for testing and both work fine on the digital extension.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Sounds like you maybe have a dodgy VCM card, what does monitor show against VCM channels? :)

I get this showing up when I dial *17:

I also get (later in the trace):

It can see both VCM cards fine.... perhaps try removing one of the VCM cards and re test then remove the other and test, could still be a dodgy card :)

"No problem monkey socks

I would also remove one card and try again.
If it fails then remove the other one and try the other card.
If both fail replace the IPO and try both cards again.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Ok, so I removed one card, tried it, removed the other, inserted the first one, tried it, and both work individually....Perhaps just a re-seat?

You could try it.
But there where some doggy cards where a certain channels was broken.
I am not sure which one but i believe it was the 5th or the 10th channel on a VCM64.

tlpeter,

Was there a fix issued for this? Also, if no VCMs are in use, does the IPO just start allocating at the beginning again?

Thanks!
Ed

I replaced the card.
It always star with the first free channel so you should setup multiple calls.
It is a long time ago so i can't remember which channel it occurred.

Got it.

Thanks everybody for help on this. The reseat has worked for now. It's our internal system so I may just order replacement cards.
