Hi masters

I cannot start System Status because of this error "All connections to this control unit are in use." I have followed this thread but to no avail. Still getting the same message even in WebBrowser.
Is there a way (except reboot) how to tear down those "hooked up sessions" ?

Thanks for your tips :) [afro]

Are others using System Status? You can only have 2 connections at the same time.

Hi janni78
No, no one else is using the System Status as far as I'm aware of. There are two Terminal Servers from which we can connect, but there are no System Status sessions running on either of the TS.
And the IPO system was restarted few nights back, but this still did not resolved my problem. :( Still no sessions available.
Any other hint please ?

if you configure the filters correctly on system monitor you should be able to see which IP addresses are communicating on the system status ports

This should enable you to identify the PC's making the connection
(Remember CCR uses a system status connection)

Are you sure there aren't concurrent users trying to connect on the terminal server? You might not be aware of other terminal sessions. Gain console access to the TS and logoff other sessions or reboot the server.

Hi

I have found a way to access the System Status finally.[spin]
- Started System Monitor
- In SystemMonitor - Status -> TCP Streams i have identified the active TCP Connections

- Searched the internet for a tool to kill the TCP Connections.
- The tool of my choice was CurrPorts
- with this tool I have killed the process running this TCP Connection
- After that I'm able to run System Status to this IPO Box.

Thanks everyone for their suggestions and valuable tips.

PS:
@ IPGuru - I was unable to set up the SysMonitor to display the active connections to the IPO, although I was able to see my "pings" there, no TCP connections on the specified port though. :-( Maybe you can give me more detailed setup hint?

@ CASSBusinessSystems - Thanks for the tip, but customer is running other applications on this TS and do not let me reboot it, but I believe this could "cure"it too :)

I would look in the "Interface" tab of monitor
turn on packets TX& RX & then probably restrict the information to just the IP Address of the IPO & The necessary port

So what process was connected on that port?

@janni78 - I'm sorry. I thought I have made a screenshot from the CurrPorts app., but I can't find it now. I Only have the screenshot from the SysMonitor TCP Streams where the stream is visible, but won't tell you the process name.
10.142.50.5 is the IPO IP
10.142.50.3 is the CCR server
10.140.50.180 is the RDP enabled Terminal Server from which I run the manager and the System Status apps. In the screenshot below there are only 2 streams to the IPO, but in the realtime view there was periodically a third stream coming up almost every second on the 50808 port and I think that was the "rogue" TCP stream causing the issues.

If it ever happens again, I'll post the process name here.
Thanks for your tips! It brought me to my problem resolution. I hope this will help someone too when having similar issues ;)
