IPO 500v2 8.1(65) to r11

In reviewing the most recent release notes the documentation is a little confusing.

Can IPO 500v2 8.1(65) or later be upgraded to Release 11 directly?

Or does it need to go to Release 9 or 9.1 first?

8.1(65) can go directly to a higher release.

If lower than 8.1(65), must go to 8.1(65) (or any higher 8.1 release) OR to 9.0 (any maintenance release) before going above 9.0
