Hey everybody,
I have (2) IPO500 that have a voice point to point t-1 between them. Because the standard t-1 does not support caller id, I am going to have the provider change the curcuit to data and use the PtoP as Voip trunks. My question is what routers would you recommend for this application? Cost is a factor in this change. Just looking for the cheapest routers that will work. Any recommendations?

Kentrox QoS routers work great, especially in a PtP T-1 scenario. The Q2200 QoS router is a single-port T-1 router of which you would use one at each end. Cost for these are lower than using a Cisco or other brand. I try to stay away from the Cisco stuff. For more money you could use Juniper which we also have used. The Kentrox are really simple to setup too - all GUI interface.
