Just as the subject says we are connecting these two devices through an analog port its set up as a paging port the phone is set to offhook station the short code is dial page short code to the extension. I have the little horn next to the extension as well in the settings. I get a busy signal when dialing the short code to the paging port and call rejected when dialing the extention directly, not sure if these things are important. I have tested the Valcom unit and it is putting out sound when told to but it seems as if the IPO is not signaling it correctly or something of this nature?

Try a reboot with the paging unit conected or a analogue handset connected but off hook, if no joy try the same with it set as IVR port instead :)

I connected an analog phone directly into that line and it played audio over the off hook line to me i could talk into the phone paging and hear me over the off hook line.

Doesn't that unit go to an analogue trunk port as oppose to an extn port? I thought someone on here said it did. Either way you should still try what I suggested even though you hear audio, it could just need rebooting with a station connected but off hook, it often does :)

I use a valcom v-2003a which will do 3 zones. I connect it to a trunk port and have a shotcode set to dial with that trunk port line id and the telephone number field blank. The valcom waits for you to dial a zone number to page to. for example 1 2 3 or 4 for all zones. hope this helps.

The IP Office works well with the Valcom 2003A control, provided you go through a Bogen UPAM (or TAM-B). Make sure you eliminate all call appearances for the user except 1, turn off call waiting for the user, turn off voice mail for the user, and finally, turn off "auto hold" so someone doesn't make a page and forget to disconnect.

The V-2003A is normally intended to connect to a loop start trunk port, not a station or page port, but there are ways to make it work on those other ports.
If you are using a paging port, you can connect to the V-2003A using the background music input, which will give you one zone all-call.
If you have a normally-open contact closure that closes on page port access, and the page port passes DTMF, then you can use all three zones on the V-2003A.
If you only have a station port available, then a Valcom V-9970 can be installed between the IP Office and the V-2003A. That serves the same purpose as the UPAM.

I have installed the analog trunk and was looking for the post referencing the analog trunk that was installed but couldnt seem to find it. If you have a link to that post please resend. I know its been a week since I was on here but I couldnt get back to this customer very quickly I was on an emergency for the last week. I have the analog trunk installed and the line to the paging module installed to that trunk how to do I trip that trunk through the phone so that I can page? The old way was through an extention doing dial page to the unit but was told that was wrong but I dont see a way to dial into that trunk or at least I am not sure of a way.

My original line of quote holds the answer on how to do it :)

Short Code
*701
Dial
Line Group ID 75
Nothing in the Telephone Number line

ANALOG TRUNK
Outgoing Line Group ID 75
Loop Start (not Loop Start with ICLID

Rest of setup is default

When Dialing the *701 it picks up the trunk waits 5 seconds and hangs up. The Valcom is hooked up on the tip and ring and that plug is plugged into that analog trunk. Could the problem at this point be with the Valcom unit?

yes it doesnt seem to matter when if I dial it before the 5 seconds or just wait. It hangs up.
