Hi. I have a customer that is using an analog station port calling a viking page control for their paging. Some times when they put a person on park and then go to page overhead the parked call goes onto the page also. they can hear the person loud and clear while they are on park. Until they disconnect the cable going out of the analog port on the ip to the viking the call stays on there. any idea's?
Is there a better way to hook up paging on this, the viking seems cumbersome in this app.

I think they are not parking the call, they are transferring to the Viking paging extension. It answers, they make their page and hang up. The original call is now transferred to the Viking paging interface, and won't disconnect until you pull the line cord, dropping the call.

Perhaps not engaging the hook switch between park and page which transfers the parked call to the paging extension. Just a guess.

CGS. That sounds correct. I asked the site about if they may be transferring instead of parking, they didnt think so. I seem to recall doing something similar during the install, I hit the pagebutton by mistake then pressed the intercom to get dialtone right away and it put the dialtone over the paging horns. I didnt think that this was doing a transfer when you do not press the hookswitch. Makes sense, thanks

If they are on 4.something + you can watch their button presses in SSA so you can see how they are doing it :)
