Hi There,
I got some stellar help on this forum before to dumb down an IPLDK 20 as a PABX for a single analogue line with four extensions (Small office)

Link

I turned on a auto-receive Fax option which is a life saver, the receptionist used to have to pick up and transfer to another person who would then hang up to transfer it to the Fax machine...now it goes straight there.
Here's the help I got at setting up the Fax transfer
Link

THE PROBLEM NOW is that when you call the Phone line and Hang up, the system keeps ringing?? So when the receptionist comes in, in the morning and afternoon, more times then not the phone is ringing, she picks up, nobody is there, just a phantom caller..

I should deactivate the Fax forwarding and test the system to see if it's related to that, but I might be barking up the wrong tree, Maybe there is a Telco Jedi out there who can use the force to decipher what's going on.

Here's some advice I got before on the timers that actually got the system working in the first place.

----------------------------------------------

PGM180 - System timer
SLT Hook Switch Bounce Timer: 1 [No change here]
SLT Maximum Hook Flash Timer: 20 [Current Value: 5]
SLT Minimum Hook Flash Timer: 7 [Current Value 20]
SLT Ring Phase: 3 [Current Value: 5]

ICM dialtone is a steady single tone. You hear it as soon as you pick up a station
Another thing to consider for holding calls, is using parking bins.
You can park calls on 601 by pressing Recall, and dialing 601.
Pick up the call from any station by dialing 601.

Check your SLTs for a switch or control where you can adjust the Recall timer. See if there is a setting for Recall 100ms or Recall 600ms.

Try the above settings before worrying about your SLT switch. Let me know how that goes

Thanks
Nathan

Damn, thanks for the heads up, so I'm out of luck, I don't have a LDK30 or LDP7024 ....
I'll have to see if I can locate one :( I'm not in this business so I don't fancy my chances

Did you brick your IPLDK when using PCadmin to initialize?

I had to put it back to Korean, flash a different software version and default again.

Ok, Press Trans *#..... TRANS/PGM..... the transfer key?.......sigh!

Why do I need to 'initialize by software' ? Is that to update the Database?
Could I just update the firmware and program from scratch? Getting one of those phones will be near impossible for me.
Thanks

Always take a backup before you upgrade just incase.

Also initialise every level of software between your current level to the new level. This activates the new levels.

If you brick it, just upload your last backup and you should be fine.

I have a backup of the Database, and I'm sorry for all these questions..but when you say 'initialise every level of software between my version and the new level'

Do you mean upgrade the Firmware one version at a time? The link I have for firmware is a Spanish site and it jumps from 2.2 to a few iterations of 3.9
Link

but maybe you are talking about the 'initialize by software' that eats is talking about (Just to activate every level) which means, I'm in the same position and I really need to get one of those LG phones....

Feck it, I might just give it a go, I might get lucky with a straight upgrade to 3.9EC?

Yes. Activate every level from lowest to highest until you get to 3.9

ok, the solution at last (kind of) :) Yes the firmware upgrade helped things...I was very out of Date at 2.1 and I uploaded all the .bin firmware files in order at the site above...
then went to PGM452 and hit every button starting from the lowest number, and I got a 'success' readout in the bottom bar...so I got lucky, once the software and Firmware were up to date, I was able to access the third PGM for 'fax transfer' FAX CO Call Timer (PGM 182,FLEX14) .... I set this at one minute, smallest time available.

So now I have the same issue, where if someone rings in, and hangs up, the phone will continue to ring, (But only for one minute) and then the system disconnects. so I can live with this

MY THEORY :) is once you activate the 'fax auto transfer', the system goes into a listening mode described below, and even if the call disconnects it will transfer to the statin list REGARDLESS... I could be wrong as I know nothing about this stuff.
2.4.28 Automatic Fax Transfer
(ipLDK-20)
Description
The system will determine if an incoming call from the preprogrammed CO line is for a FAX or for speech terminal by detecting the tone of the call (1100Hz, 0.5s ON/3s OFF repeated). When the system detects a FAX tone from the incoming line within the predetermined time, the System will transfer the call to the appropriate FAX Station. If the FAX tone is not detected within predetermined time, the System will transfer the call to the appropriate Station(s).
