Hi guys, this is my first post here, so go easy ;)

I have just acquired an office which alread has a LG ipLDK-20 compact system fitted. I would like to be able to setup this phone system by myself as I only run a small business with a few staff so paying for a maintenance contract is not really an option. I have been searching and reading for days now and as far as I can see, I need software called LDK PC Admin... I have tried everywhere to download it, using various searches on Google but to no avail. If anyone would be so kind to tell me where I can get it from, I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

I done that from the handset and it replied:

XFR REC INC QUE
1 2 3 4

what doe this mean ?

PGM172 (access codes):
CODE 1 : ..
CODE 2 : ..
CODE 3 : ..
CODE 4 : ..

PGM174 (RS232 port settings)
BAUDRATE: 19200(6)

I tried using 19200 in PC admin...

PGM174 (sorry it was not 173) gives details about the bit rate to set in LDK PC ADMIN.
It is 19.200 b/s and that is default. As it is OK, you need to check your serial cable.

the serial cable was one of the first things I checked. it looks like it is wired the same as the manual. it has 3 wires TX RX and ground. th TX goes to the RX and vice versa and the ground to ground. i dont think its the cable.

As your s/w is:

LGE/UK66P-2.1Cc OCT/05
UNITED KINGDOM

Then the only program to administer the data is using the LDK PC ADMIN ver 2.2.

Otherwise you use keyset admin.
You can log on from the keyset sitting in port 0 (zero), dialling [Trans/Pgm]+*+#+[Trans/Pgm].

I have tried another serial cable and still nothing. I even tried to reset the database. I cant see why it wont work... it opens the serial port on the pc but then says there is no response from LDK. I tried using the diagnostics software.

I can log on using the the keyset but this is not what I want to acheive. Are there any other settings which may stop it responding ?

You could try Hyperterminal, that comes with Windows XP, or Tera Term.
These programs are terminal programs, that can show if the serial port is OK.
Otherwise check PGM175 for the COM port settings.

I have checked all the settings and this does not work. I will have to use the phone until I get a LANU card.

Can you you please help me to do the following...

My system has support for both digital and analogue lines however we only use 2 digital lines, so can you tell me how I can setup it up to only allow 2 external lines as at the moment it thinks there are 2 digital and 2 analogue = 4.

How do I set it up to allow 4 DKT extensions as only the master one seems to work ? It has a card for SLT's but we dont use these.

How do I set it up so it selects line 1 on pressing 9 rather than line 2 ?

Programming the LANU is done with PGM108.
(IP address, Subnet mask and default gateway).

If you are using ISDN2 (BRI) you can program the inwards ringing scheme in PGM 231.

Also check my "How to program ISDN in ipLDK".
See next post...

Check this "doc" with your system, and let me know what issues you have...

hi, I had a look through your docs but it does not make alot of sense to me. one thing is that we do not have any DDI numbers.

You can still use PGM 231 with just one main number.
To this number you can add a menu function (Press 1 for Sales, press 2 for Service). Here you have the possibility to call in on one number and end up calling several numbers.

I thought I had to have the auto attendant board for this function ?
