Hey Smitty

Please write exacly what is in your 2 cabinet ipLDK-100.
Also the exact s/w level, and the type of MPBN, ASMU2N etc.
What type of BRIBE is used - the type with processor or the the NBRIBE (without processor).
So write -like this :
MPB:
SLOT1: e.g. DTIB12
SLOT2 ---
SLOT3 : e.g. VMIBE
etc.

Do you have more BRIBE's - and what about the SYNC cable?

///doktor

MPB:Mpbe 3.8bf with asmu2e
Slot 1:Dtib 24
slot 2:Dtib 24
slot 3:Empty
slot 4:Vmib+exspansion (8 ports)
slot 5:Nbrib4
slot 6:Nbrib8
Second Cab
slot 7:Slib6

Sync cables are on between boards 6 and 5 tried the other way round and without fault still occuring

Sync cables should be installed from SLOT=5 (OUT) to SLOT=6 (IN). Did you use ferrite cores, also?
Good common grounding is essential.
Does it work with only one ISDN board?

You could move the VMIB up to the second cabinet, as this board takes a lot of power.

Otherwise it looks OK.

///doktor

Do you power regarding vmib may be ans issue?

VMIB takes more power than line cards.
Therefore to divide the power consumtion between the 2 cabinets, we have often moved a card or 2.
