I have a client with this problem:

"When you dial 215-XXX-XXXX ext 102 it says "Im sorry, I did not hear your selection" and if you try to dial by name it says "there are no matches to the three letters you entered"

My problem is I am 1) Not there, and 2) Not that good at this switch.

Could someone either walk me thru this or help me get it done somehow?

THANX in ADVANCE!

From what i can understand it looks like there is no voicemail box assigned for ext 102. If this is the case you will need to find out who is the system manager of the voicemail system. The system manager will have the option MGR in his own voicemail box. Ater pressing the softkey MGR they will need to press on CHBX. Then the system will ask to enter the extension number of the box you want to add, press 102. Then it will tell you that there is no voicemail box assigned to that extension, do you want to add one? Press 1 for yes. The system will tell you "add complete". Get the user of box 102 to set up his/her voicemail box by pressing message key of ext 102, get them to go throught the first time enrollment (It will prompt the user to record greeting, spell their last name etc...)
Once this is done give it a try and see if it works.

Thanx for the info, that was what I suspected as well.

Unfortunately, the customer has since gone on to some one else to get this fixed.
