Try PGM 132 Board based data.

You will find the sequence number of your phone in PGM102/103

Enter the sequence number into PGM 132 and change codec from default.

you are right, it seems to be always greyed out.

Strange but the manual says:
The default system codec is defined as G.711. The system codec will be used on all internal
communications as well as for other remote devices.

So try to follow Thermus tip.

System codec can be set in web admin at PGM 160-161 line 24 ( on my ver 6 ipecs ) if you want to do the whole system.

Or from phone programming it is PGM 161, flex button 9 option 2 I believe

Sorry I didn't read the SBG part.

SBG is fixed at G.711 for the phones. You can only change codec for the trunks.

My instructions were for IPECs systems.

It is possible to change PGM132 and PGM160 even for SBG but you have to open
the backdoor web interface and this is very risky when you don´t know iPECS systems.
