Help.
When an incoming isdn call is answered I need to send dtmf tones (digits)to the remote machine to operate various options this does not work, I called in from my mobile phone and tried to send tones (dialled digits from the keypad on the ipecs phone) and it doesn't send any.
Is this feature available?
Where would I find the setup in programming to turn it on?

Hi XS650thanks for that but it is already on. what I need is it to send when I have answered the call on the ipecs and am trying to access an external site , ie the external site has called me back and asks me to dial 1 for connecting to an operator. I've tried from the lip and analogue extns and neither sends the dtmf tones.
Any ideas?

As far as I know, for LIK the system should automatically sends dtmf tones for outgoing calls.
And for incoming calls you have to set incoming toll check to ON, when the system should send dtmf tones.

Example:
We connect an alarm server via sip trunks to a LIK and in emergency cases the alarm server calls
the LIP phone and plays an announcement.
The phone have to press 1234 to acknowledge the alarm than.
This is only working when incoming toll check is set to ON.

Incoming Toll Check should do it. Or try turning it off.

I had this problem on 5.0 software and needed an upgrade to fix it. It was very early 5.0 software.

What level are you on?

A few more questions.
Can you hear DTMF tones on outgoing calls?
What type of trunks?
And has your MFIM been upgraded from 5.5af software or earlier?

The last question is important due to corruption that can occur during upgrades. I've has some weird stuff happen when going from 5.0 to later versions. Voicemail COS is the most obvious as you can see the values in some columns are way outside what you are able to enter yourself. Or a smiley face in the authorisation code table.

Hi Thermus,
yes you can hear dtmf tones on outgoing calls to a mobile.
isdn2 lines
yes upgraded over the years I have gone from ver5.0 through different upgrades one being 5.5 now to 6.1
just tried incoming cll to the system from my mobile and its now sending dtmf on an incoming call.
its working without me changing anything all I did was check incoming toll check was on.
I can only think we may have had a power outage and it rebooted.
thanks for your suggestions.
