Hi all,
We have a iPECS 100 with quite a few handsets
Was looking for some more 8012D/E phones for the office
Bought a load of brand new phones off eBay, looked the same, but they are IP8820's
Didn't think anything of it, till I came to set one up, it appears they are for a hosted solution only ? (can't find anywhere to put the IP address of our MFIM)
Can set the local IP, Subnet and Gateway, but tried putting the IP of our MFIM in the SIP Call Server Address and it fails to connect
Is there a way of putting the firmware from a 8012 on these IP8820 - as the hardware looks the same ?
Shame - maybe the reason they were cheap, and I now have about 10 of them
Thanks as ever,
Paul
