iPad Flare VPN

Hi,

We're trying to get Flare working on an iPad when connected over a PPTP VPN. Key points:

It works fine directly.
The VPN connects fine.
The VPN server is the same server that OneX portal is running on.
The router is port forwarding 1723 and doing pass through fine.

Any suggestions on how to get this working?

Do you know any way to get Flare working over a VPN? We connect the iPad via a PPTP VPN and it won't login.

Are there any suggestions/tips/methods/changes to get this working?

I do not have an iPad but i use a Windows laptop and i use a VPN tunnel to a ISA server and it works fine for me.

This is possibly a routing issue on the IPO itself.

to prove try browsing tho the IPO private address from the Ipad Via the VPN.

If the connection fails try changing the gateway on the iproute 0.0.0.0 to be the VPN server instead of your normal default gateway


A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Thanks for the advice IPGuru. Whilst this didn't turn out to be the issue, it certainly pointed me in the right direction.

Browsing the private IPO address didn't work, so I looked into this and found that the VPN wasn't setup to provide a private IP in the correct subnet. Upon correcting that, Flare worked instantly!
