After upgrading to 9.1.7, taking a call from Call Park requires an additional key press to select the call as external take the call. I have never had to do this with prior service packs, is this a setting i can disable with manager?

Is there any way to correct this?

Use short code to park and unpark call.
Sorry, otherwise, you're stuck with the connect button like the rest of us.

If vegetarians love animals so much, why are they eating all of their food?

is this connect button something new for service pack 7, cause i never experienced it before on unparking a call

Brand spanking new on SP7. It was never there prior to this release. Although, 1400 series phones always did require you to press the Park button twice to connect.

and this is an intended feature or will this be corrected by next service pack?

Only if the Illuminati, Rothschilds or Obama administration will allow it. [thumbsup2]

Maybe it's just me but every ipo I work on you require 2 presses of the cal park to retrieve the call.

96xx series
Press call park button
Press connect.

14xx series
Press call park button
Press call pickup or press the same call park button again

It's been like that from release 7 to release 9

i just downgraded to 9.1.6, and all is back to normal.

What way are your call park buttons programmed.

I would love to have it by pressing the button Once.

I am installing a 9.1.6 at the moment and would like to try your method out.

im new to ipo, only had rel 9.1, it just programmed button as call park 1 through 6, and i only have to press once to park or unpark.

I attached a screenshot

That's exactly the way my buttons are programmed.

I am using 9608 phones so the phone screen is different

I still have to press the call park button then press connect .

I will try tomorrow on my system to see if it works like yours .

I have a 9608G and it works the same way, also on 9630G. Just press once, i cannot understand why it should require two key presses, unless you are trying to cut down on mispress.

the purpose is to show the detail of the call under the park key so you know who you are going to pick up.
I remember this as fare back as V1.0 on DT handsets (probably also on Alchemy 2.1 but I never looked)

have you checked the DSS status option in System/telephony?

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

There should be an inspect key for that purpose like the good old partner system had

Well I learned something new, I never understood why sometimes it was one press to unpark a call or two presses. The DSS status that IPGuru mentions in System/telephony controls this one or two button press to unpark a call, although the help file description of it mentions nothing of it affecting the unpark sequence. I tested with several model phones and the DSS Status check box made the difference. Pink love for you IPGuru

We'll so have I.....Ok that explains it.

That's why I have always had to press it twice to get the call back.

Star for the answer and explanation of how to change it.

I remember it requiring two key presses on 8.1.67 but after upgrading a customer's system to 8.1.95 it only required one key press. My customer was upset and liked having two key presses because he could see the caller ID and decide if he wanted to take the call or not. I guess you can't please everyone, too bad they couldn't make this a setting that can be changed.
