Is anyone having problems interfacing with the Bogen TAMB2? We have had two installs with 6.1.12 running the TAMB2 off the analog port on a combo card. It is set as a paging speaker and I setup a shortcode dial paging to the analog extension but all I get is a busy signal. I suspected that it was an issue with 6.1.12 so I tested the same setup in the shop with 6.1.5 and no issues. Works as it should. Any Ideas? Is this a bug or do I need to set this up different on 6.1.12??

A few more details. In my testing I started with a unit running 6.1.5 and confirmed that the paging worked corretly. I then upgraded the same box to 6.1.12 and confirmed that the paging did not work. I just got thru downgrading to 6.1.5 but I am still getting the busy signal. The downgrade did not fix the problem. Now I am really confused. I also tried to set this up as an IVR port on 6.1.12 and it did work... mostly. When I added that extension to hunt group so that the horn could be included with a regular phone page, the phones would page but nothing would come out of the horn. When watching system status it doesn't even show that extension as part of the page.

Thanks for your help!!

You will probably need to reboot the system while the TAMB2 is connected or while you have an analog handset connected that is off hook, that usually sorts things out :)

The TAMB2 has been connected throughout this process. I will try a reboot with a butt set off hook. Thanks.

If you are connecting the TAM2 to an analog station port then the port can't be programmed as Page Horn because the TAM2 requires ringing current to work.

So then you can't put it in a Hunt Group for Dial Paging; for that you would need to not use the TAM2 and program the analog port as Page Horn and connect directly to the 600 ohm connection on your paging amplifier.

My experience is one or the other but not both with a TAM.
