Hi All,
I'm looking at sourcing an IP500v2 for our organisation, and would like to find out its limitations in interacting with MS Exchange. I'm having issues with conflicting answers from suppliers, and limited on-line documentation that is clear - so I thought I would come here and ask you lovely people a couple of things:
* The One-X software allows the screen-popping of local Outlook contacts, but it looks like there is no One-X solution for the screen-popping of Exchange public folder contacts? Even if that folder has been "added" to a user's local Outlook Address Book?
* We would also want to be able to view other user's Exchange calendars - in conjunction with their phone status - via desktop software. Again, I don't think there is a One-X solution for this - the only option being to purchase a 9600 series deskphone..?
It seems that Avaya Flare is the solution for Exchange, but this is not compatible with the IP Office range (?) and would require a more expensive system.
Does anybody have any comments on the above? Ideally I would not like to use a third-party solution for Exchange, but it may be cheaper than upgrading the system.
Any thoughts or solutions would be greatly appreciated, and good karma will be transmitted in the opposite direction.
Thanks
M
