1.We replaced a BCM400 with an IP Office and have some 1120's that they want to use knowing their limitations. I did not update the BCM with the latest SU before replacing. How can I wipe out the Unistim software from the phones and use them on the IP Office.

2. Is the correct rule of thumb to have 1 VCM channel per IP phone/softphone with a PRI?

you just connect them to te ipo as documenter in the 6.1 techbulletin.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

This part explains what I needed, "1120e,1140e, 1220, 1240 IP sets must be at Nortel BCM6.0 UNISTIM GA
F/W level (062AC7M) or loaded with the basic Boot Loader typically when new out of the box"

Now for the 2nd question, is it a good rule of thumb to have 1 VCM per IP phone/softphone with a PRI?

Not really, depends entirely on the customer, but as with users to lines normally 3 > 1 is a good ratio, so for every 3 phones you need 1 VCM channel/external line available :)

P.s those phones were sh1t on the Nortel, they are even worse on the IPO :)

I understand. Customers choice not mine. I made my opinion known to the salesman. Thanks!
