Hello

Im new to the forums and im looking for some upgrade advice.

Currently system is as below

IP Office 500 4.2(20)
VMPro 4.2 (34)
IP DECT 1.1.11

We need to upgrade the switch to accomodate a new handset 1616.

We have an upgrade licsense purchased and I downloaded the latest software to upgrade to V8. Now this failed straight away.

Am I making to large a jump in version.? Will the voicemail and DECT also need upgraded.

Many Thanks

You could have upgraded to 5.0.26 for free but you already paid for the license so you can use 8.0

You need to upgrade the IP, VMPro and the IPDect.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Thanks for the reply thats great.

Any reason why it will not let me upgrade? I opened the software and went to upgrade and this fails straight away. If I just upgraded to 5.0.26 would i still need to upgrade the voicemail and the DECT.?

Cheers

You will always need to upgrade the VoiceMail Pro and the DECT when you upgrade the IP Office so everything is on the same release.

When you perform the upgrade, it asks for a password. What password are you using. The password is "password", without the quotes of course.

Ah Ok its maybe the password issue then I was using the system password for it. How do i go about upgrading the DECT side of things.? Thanks

Assuming you're using Dect R2:

Use the ADM_Configurator from the new Manager suite
to reconfigure your access-points. Write down the Base station MAC-addresses before you begin.

Make sure you're in the same subnet as the DECT stations.
Type in the MAC-Address and press "list-configuration"

All you have to update is the file name of the .bin file
(ADMM_RFP_1_1_11.tftp to ADMM_RFP_1_1_13.tftp)

End with "Send configuration" and repeat for multiple basestations.

Make sure your TFTP server holds the new .tftp file !!!!
